Brunch At Tiffany's

As a romantic, my favorite movie of all time is Breakfast At Tiffany’s which stars the forever stunning Audrey Hepburn. She plays Holly Golightly, an independent socialite who entraps men with her charm and beauty. The beginning scene shows her eating a pastry in her black dress, tiara and diamond necklace in front of Tiffany & Co in New York City. She explains that her only true happy place is Tiffany’s because nothing can go wrong there.

So when my friend, Kim, invited me to a collaboration event at the Tiffany & Co on Rodeo Drive, I wanted to test that theory and I was over the moon thrilled. An event where you could try on expensive diamonds, test drive a Tesla, and drink champagne… now that’s my kind of party. I decided to invite my friend Nic because not only did he purchase my first Tiffany’s necklace five years ago, he understood my love for all things Tiffany teal and Golightly.

Upon arriving, we met with Kim who explained the details of the event. Nic and I both drove the Tesla X around Beverly Hills. Having a tiny Miata two seater, I thought the Tesla felt like a fast spaceship. Everything is automatic and futuristic but stylish and economical.

Afterwards, we took an elevator to the fourth floor of Tiffany’s where we were served champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Ashley who is a charming gentleman with an exquisite passion for Tiffany's glittering diamonds guided us through the traveling collection. He allowed me to try on the most exquisite piece of jewelry I have ever laid my eyes on, priced at $1.25 million. I did not want to breath or move in fear of breaking the beauty on my neck.

The most expensive article I have ever had on my body.

We then continued to peruse the glamour of the other floors and fell in love with the pieces. Tiffany's made me feel like a princess that day and I could now relate to Holly Golightly. Tiffany & Co. on Rodeo Drive is definitely a shiny and happy place that I would love to frequent.
